Angel Dream
by James Raymond and David Crosby

And an angel came unto me
and inhabited the body of my child
and for a moment she could speak to me
She was radiant and calm
though her eyes were slightly wild
she could surely see things that we can't see
Angel of mercy
angel of dreams
nothing's ever quite what it seems
She said I bring to you this message
a little glimpse of passage
while you lay your head down, down to rest
and this love that you follow
it will never grow hollow
it is the one true flame to fuel your quest
there are no guarantees that wisdom will come find you
it is written on no stone that you will be so blessed
but I hear they are pleased somewhere
with these weavings of harp and drum and bell
and thte truth we find between your pages pressed
and kept for another voice to tell
Angel of mercy
angel of dreams
nothing's ever quite what it seems
